PRIVACY POLICY

'PDF Tools' is a file conversion app. You can convert your images to the PDF file with many free Supporting Tools (PDF Lock, Unlock, Merge, Split, Watermark, Hide, Rearrange pages, Translate, Edit Text etc.). Your files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

We care about your privacy and security of your personal information.

Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

1. Data Collection and Usage

A. What Data We Collect

We collect the following types of data when you use the App:

1. User-Provided Data:
   • Name, Email & profile photo from your Google account (for login and license verification). Login is optional.
   • User Feedback (if provided voluntarily).
   • Vault recovery settings, if you set up the Hide vault while logged in: lock type, a salted hash of your PIN/password, your security question and a salted hash of its answer. We cannot see your actual PIN, password or answer.
2. Automatically Collected Data:
   • Device Information (such as device model, OS version, and app version) to improve app performance, a device identifier (Android ID) to count free uses, and the Advertising ID and app instance ID collected by Google Analytics for Firebase for usage analytics (not for ads).
   • App Usage Data (such as features used, number of files processed per tool, file sizes, time spent, and crash logs) for debugging and analytics. File names and file contents are not collected.
   • Advertising Data: the App currently shows no ads. If ads are added later through Google AdMob, AdMob may collect advertising data for personalized or non-personalized ads, and this policy will be updated first.

B. Why We Collect This Data

We collect data for the following purposes:

1. Account Management: Name & Email are required for login and license tracking.
2. Improving User Experience: Crash logs and usage analytics help us enhance app performance. Your usage statistics are also shown to you in the App, and the name and photo of the most active user may appear on the in-app "top creator" board.
3. Ad Personalization: only if ads are enabled in a future version (see A.2).
4. Security & Fraud Prevention: To prevent misuse and unauthorized access to premium features.

C. Third-Party Services

The App uses these Google services, which process data under Google's policies:

• Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In (login), Firebase Realtime Database (account, usage, vault recovery and feedback data), Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash logs).
• Google Play services (document scanner, in-app updates and review) and Google ML Kit (on-device text recognition and translation).
• Google AdMob: not used at present. If ads are enabled later, AdMob may track user behavior for personalized ads.

Feedback summaries: to group bug reports and feature ideas, the text of in-app feedback may be summarized by free AI services (Google Gemini, Groq or OpenRouter). Before anything is sent, email addresses, phone numbers and links are removed from the text. Only that cleaned text, the tool name, the feedback type and the app version are sent. Your name, email, user ID, account details and files are never sent to these services.

D. Data Storage & Security

• User data is stored securely in Google Firebase, protected with encryption and access controls.
• We do not share or sell user data with third-party companies or individuals, apart from the service providers named in section C above.
• User data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Crash logs are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days, and analytics data follows Google Analytics for Firebase retention settings.

E. User Control & Data Deletion

• Users can request account deletion and data removal by contacting us at official@groupofdada.com.
• Once deleted, all personal data will be permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.

Delete your account

You can ask us to delete your PDF Tools account and its data at any time. There is no in-app delete button today, so deletion is done by email:

1. Email official@groupofdada.com from the Google account you used to sign in to PDF Tools.
2. Use the subject "Delete my PDF Tools account". No other details are needed.
3. We confirm your request by email and delete your data within 30 days.

What we delete: your account (name, email address, profile photo and user ID), your usage counts, your entry on the "top creator" leaderboard, your vault recovery data and any feedback you sent.

What is kept, and for how long: crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically. Usage analytics follow Google Analytics for Firebase retention settings.

Please note: uninstalling the app or signing out does not delete your account. Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded, so there are no files of yours on our servers to delete.

2. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If we discover that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

3. Limitation of Liability

Group of Dada is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

4. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to other users of the App, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

5. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the App. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Use.

We inform you through Notification when we modify Our Privacy Policy.

6. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal actions related to these terms shall be brought in the courts located in India.

7. Licensing and Payments

The App offers free use with limits (a few conversions without login and more after login), and a license section for premium features. If premium features are sold, all payments are processed through the Google Play Store payment method. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms and conditions of Google Play's payment system. Refunds and cancellations are also subject to Google Play's policies.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the 'PDF Tools' app (the "App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

'PDF Tools' provides users with tools for converting various document files (such as images, PPT, PDF, DOC, etc.) to alternative document formats. The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and not for any unlawful or prohibited activities.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we detect fraudulent activity, misuse of services, or violation of these Terms. Users may contact us for appeal or clarification.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, service marks, logos, and intellectual property related to the App are the property of Group of Dada or its licensors. You may not use, copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission from Group of Dada.

5. What User Cannot Do

You agree not to use the App to distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, or violate intellectual property rights. Violation of these terms may result in account suspension.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information directly when you donate through the QR code. However, your donation may involve the sharing of certain information with third-party payment services, such as:

• Your payment method details (handled by the payment provider).
• Transaction information (amount donated, date, and time).

We do not store, process, or have access to your financial information, such as card numbers or bank details.

2. Use of Your Donation

The funds collected through donations are used solely for the purpose of improving the app, including but not limited to:

• Developing new features.
• Fixing bugs and improving app performance.
• Covering operational costs.

We do not use donations for any purpose outside app development and enhancement.

3. Third-Party Payment Services

Donations made via the QR code are processed by third-party payment platforms (e.g., like Paytm, Google Pay, or PayPal). These platforms may collect and process your personal and financial information. Please refer to their privacy policies for details on how they handle your information.

4. Data Security

We prioritize your privacy and ensure that no sensitive payment information is stored or accessed by us. The QR code is generated to link you directly to the third-party payment provider, ensuring secure transactions.

5. Voluntary Donations

Donating through the QR code is entirely voluntary. Choosing to donate or not will not impact your access to the 'PDF Tools' app or its functionality. Donations simply allow us to make the app better for all users.

6. No Refund Policy

Once a donation is made, it cannot be refunded, as it is considered a voluntary contribution to support the app's development.
