The app opens your PDF and tries passwords on your device. The PDF file and its contents are never uploaded to Group of Dada. Use this app only for PDFs you own or are allowed to open (for example your own bank statements, salary slips or tax forms). Using it on files you have no right to open is not allowed (see our Terms).
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google account name, email address and account ID | When you sign in | To create your account and link your licence and credits |
| Licence status and recovery credits | While you use the app | To unlock the features you are entitled to |
| Multi-device job data: the search ranges, progress, which device found the password and its account email, and the recovered password | Only if you start or join multi-device (cluster) mode | So your devices can share the work and all of them can show the result. |
| Your password hint, after redaction | Only if you use AI hint parsing and you are online | The app replaces the real letters and numbers in your hint with placeholders and sends only that outline to Google Gemini (through Firebase AI Logic), which returns the likely password pattern. The real values are put back on your device. If this fails, the app uses its offline parser. |
| Device push token | Automatically | To send you a notification when a recovery job finishes (Firebase Cloud Messaging) |
| Crash reports (stack trace, device model, Android version, app version) | When the app crashes | To fix bugs (Firebase Crashlytics) |
We do not collect your contacts, location, SMS or files, and the app shows no ads.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Storage (read) | Opening the PDF you choose |
| Foreground service, notifications, start after reboot | Keeping a long password search running and telling you when it finishes |
| Internet | Sign-in, licence check, optional multi-device mode, optional AI hint parsing, push notifications and crash reports |
